Back into the Collective Memory

For centuries, Jewish people have been part of Fulda. During the Nazi era, their existence was to be eradicated – and with it, their talents, dreams, goals, and their commitment to our city.

“Living Traces” brings to life twelve Jewish personalities from Fulda during the 1920s and 1930s: young and old, rich and poor, devout and liberal, immigrants and long-time residents, survivors and those murdered. Without them, Fulda would be a different city today.
